Alright. All I needed to know, I also noticed that the law states that anything older then a certain date is not considered a firearm. Anyone have any first hand knowledge on that, only reason I ask is because I like older guns and I have been looking at some older pistols, mostly an older Nagant since mine is a 1926 model.
As far as I know, there's not yet any court precedent on that issue, but there might be soon because a couple of people were recently arrested at the capital for openly carrying pistols that supposedly did not meet the legislated definition of firearm.
The law reads
(3) "Firearm" means any device designed, made, or adapted to expel a projectile through a barrel by using the energy generated by an explosion or burning substance or any device readily convertible to that use. Firearm does not include a firearm that may have, as an integral part, a folding knife blade or other characteristics of weapons made illegal by this chapter and that is:
(A) an antique or curio firearm manufactured before 1899; or
(B) a replica of an antique or curio firearm manufactured before 1899, but only if the replica does not use rim fire or center fire ammunition.
So I don't think it'd effect your ability to carry a 1926 model pistol.
