Length of weapon we can open carry

I going to assume you mean firearm. "Weapon" covers a wide range of items of which only a handgun may be CC.


The state does not address this. The length requirement is only in certain locations, which right now I'm too lazy to look up again (think Cary). The length will be measured from tip of the muzzle, back along the barrel, and down the backstrap to the heel of the butt. It would take a very small gun to meet this requirement. The ordinance is specifically for those guns which readily lend themselves to CC.

I can't see any restriction for Forest City, but don't be caught with a rubber band at a parade, picket line, or demonstration, as that will be termed a "pea shooter" and is prohibited. Gasp.

Chapel Hill has a display size ordinance, I believe it is 6 inches. As already stated it would a very small handgun to be in violation.

Yep - 6'' is the general standard for OC - does not seem to apply for CC.

Also no pistols of any type that are of the same kind as a rifle.... No AR, AK, Mac, UZI, .....
