    Another Shooter? NJ?

I apologize if in wrong place, but this is a general question too. Yet another shooter? Seeing another shooter at Garden State Plaza? Shot out cameras? Not good..

So far lots of cops but no shooter and no victims.

Remember when folks who wanted to be famous bought a guitar and called themself a rock star?

    Article of the events.

Not condoning, but it sounds like the guy who thought this through- late when the mall's pretty empty and shots that didn't injure anyone. Shame he didn't just stay home.

The only casualty besides the shooter was the hearing of several dozen people. Unrelated: does anyone know if bystanders can sue you for causing tinnitus in a defensive shooting situation?

    Temporary tinnitus, or permanent tinnitus?

Either? It would just suck to defend myself indoors and suddenly be subject to a class action lawsuit.

I'm sure they can. You can sue for pretty much anything if you feel slighted. Likely you won't have an issue, as it's rare that someone can actually prove they have lost hearing ability because of a DGU. They would have to supply before-and-after hearing tests. And really, who gets their ears checked?

Related- firefighters are suing fire truck builders because the sirens hurt their ears. Seriously.

Gun range sued, but decision went to the range, as plaintiff signed off the release form: http://www.guns.com/2012/04/06/texas...-hearing-loss/
