    Illustrated Guide to Gun Control

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. Thomas Jefferson (1776)

If you go into a store, with a gun, and rob it, you have forfeited your right to not get shot - Joe Deters, Hamilton County (Cincinnati) Prosecutor

I ask sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few politicians. - George Mason (father of the Bill of Rights and The Virginia Declaration of Rights)

Compromise is failure on the instalment plan.

Compromise is failure on the instalment plan, particularly with an intractable opponent as is base ignorance.
I am responsible for my writing, not your understanding of it.

Compromise with a static opponent defines a half-life of liberty.

"Compromise" is unnecessary when one is negotiating from a position of strength. (Keep your cake and pass it on to your children and grandchildren!)

You mean we can't have our cake and eat it, too? if we pass it down, it'll go bad, then our children will have food poisoning.

Also, much like staying away from the cars vs. guns analogies, we must refrain from using cake for metaphorical purposes, as we all know "The cake is a lie." (Video game reference)

Just because they want to continually infringe on your cake doesn 't make them anti cake.
I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

I'd say Gov. Christie is decidedly not anti-cake. But then again, neither is Kim Jong Il.

Wait... are we using cake as a metaphor?

Marie Antoinette was pro-cake. She was anti-guillotine, for all the good that did here.

Bloomburg is anti-cake, both metaphorically speaking, and not.
