    This was a murder trial, right?

    Should have been held in contempt, spent a few days in jail (see how well you can sleep there!), paid a fine, not rewarded by being let go home.

    The person can (and should) be removed from the jury without being sent home. Folks removed from juries can be returned to the jury pool.

    BTW, sleeping once is "too many times." How can one properly judge a case if they missed part of it???
