I couldn't find any info regarding it. I brought my .45 to a friends house for a small get together and my ride called in to work. I got stuck on the other side of town and had to throw my gun in my backpack and take the bus. I hope I didn't break the law.

I couldn't find any info regarding carry on Milwaukee County Transit System anyways. Is it legal?

I've had the unfortunate experience of living in large cities, aka free fire areas, ran by liberal/progressives. So as one that has been there for a while, from what I've seen, as a law abiding citizen....you are on your own.....

Madison is the only municipality I am aware of (granted I haven't had a need to look into this that closely) who has illegally posted their buses. As the poster stated "I couldn't find any info regarding carry on Milwaukee County Transit System anyways.". You can bet you would be able to find out all about it on their web site and elsewhere if milwaukee county transit was posted.

When the original poster got on the bus, did it have a gun buster sign ?

Their website has nothing about banning lawfully-armed citizens.
Probably because they realize it's illegal.
Wish Madistan would start following the law. Save the taxpayers some money.

Instead, once notified of the illegality of their policy they doubled down, warning drivers that there was a group "testing" the law, and if they saw someone armed they should tell the person to leave. If the person did not leave, the driver was to call police. A picture of the sign was posted on the WI Carry Facebook page by someone who works for Madison transit.

What they expect the police to do is unclear. Arrest or ticket the driver for interfering with civil rights?

Ugh. Them more and more I learn about liberal laws, the more I doubt the human race.
Liberal/progressivism is a parasitic disease of affluence. There's not such thing as a poor or working class liberal/progressive--they are all affluent (or spawn of the affluent) and are insulated and isolated from the poor and working people. That's what makes them so funny is their arrogance about equality/the people/blah blah blah when combined with their total ignorance of it. They don't live by the "uneducated" people, but they always blather on and on about equality....just not for them. ;)

More people need to vote with their feet. Liberal/progressives can flee what they wish upon others, us "uneducated" serfs, but still, who wants to be just another slave of the democrat party or...mejor dicho, from pre-school throughout life, having a captive mind....

How do you reconcile this premise from the reality we face today where the liberal/progressive party has become the party of the poor and those disenfranchised from the "rich" free market capitalist party?

Did'ja hear yesterday George F. Will date repugnican progressivism to Saint Reagan?
Never liked will as he seems like an 'intellectual'. Nothing against people that think--and far more should actually think, and think their own thoughts--but really, I don't care about him nor many others like him on any side of the spectrum. Most intellectuals live in theory.
No idea what the second part of your sentence means, nor who you're alluding to.
But at the time Reagan was president, I didn't like him. But how little I knew about reality as I was a student at the UW Madison at the time. Took a relocation for me to become aware how the information I was puked on was filtered, slanted, wrong, or just omitted.
Yeah, I know liberal/progressives, quite well. OK, very well, thus my complete distrust of them.

Now what were you saying about someone dating someone and I think you related that to someone on the radio or something?
I have no idea what you're talking about.

Please tell me on what you base the "reality" you proclaim?

Just look to their voter base demographic. They are pandering to the Hispanic and poor urban vote. They are the party of wannabe-socialists. They are the party of the Unions. The poor and working class are looking to the liberal/progressive party for their salvation. The GOP has been run off of the tracks by the affluent and pseudo-evangelicals.

They are pandering to the...[race based voter]...and poor urban vote [race based again]. They are the party of wannabe-socialists. They are the party of the Unions. The poor and working class are looking to the liberal/progressive party for their salvation.
You are correct, but you forgot how the new liberal/progressive ran democrat party also targets females and pits them against whoever is running against the dems.
The democrat party went far left when the mcgovern kids took it over, so it no longer represents the working man and woman....unless they are in a union/govt union. If they are in one, then they are just an appendage of the new democrat party.
The only thing the new democrat party can do is steal/confiscate/skim monies from other people and give it out to their friends, political appendages/organizing groups, and provide programs/cash/jobs to just enough poor minorities to keep them firmly on the democrat party's plantation.

The democrat party has destroyed the black family, three generations worth and is continuing that fine tradition.

The democrat party's support of teachers unions has kept public schools churning out kids clueless in math, the hard sciences, who have trouble with writing simple papers, organizing their thoughts, much less spelling and punctuation. A lot of the kids being turned out are little more than failed social experiments, but they'll be dependent upon government aid/programs.

The private sector unions are becoming obsolete and due to their rules, bankrupting businesses that are forced to employ them, thus government is having to bail them out...or whole cities/states (detroit, california). And public sector unions are raping the taxpayers, the working man and woman, and with places like wisconsin, the high property taxes also rape the working poor as they pay for it in a portion of their rent.

The new democrat party targets hispanics/women in the hope of making them dependent upon the government programs/jobs/cash. But just like some people are finding out, there's no such thing as "free health care"--someone's gotta pay for it. That's the problem with socialism--you eventually run out of other people's money. Or businesses when they move to a different city, state, or even country.

The GOP has been run off of the tracks by the affluent and pseudo-evangelicals.
I guess I need to get around more, but the conservatives I know aren't affluent, or pseudo-evangelical, whatever that is.
You must hang around different conservatives than I do and have.

What I find interesting is, take a place like portage. The people in that area are very poor, working class poor. They get the obama taxed out of them and almost all of that goes to (affluent) liberal/progressive madison and feeds the economy of that government ran city. And the people (liberal/progressives) in madison really look down on the prople living in and around a place like portage as being "uneducated", stupid, backwards, etc. Yet they have absolutely no problem stealing money from them so they can live their affluent lifestyle.

Not the voters, but the candidates and elected representatives.
A lot of conservatives haven't been thrilled, or even satisified with their choices and elected representatives with an R behind their name. Even with all he fraud and intimidation by the chicago democrat mob, I mean party, zerobams would have lost if it weren't for something like 4-6 million conservatives staying at home rather than vote for romney/ryan.

I'm not a republican--never have been. Was raised a democrat, but became disgusted with the democrat party. I'm a conservative.
You seem like an OK guy from what I know of you on the net. Expand your horizons and get involved with those you normally don't. Listen to rush limbaugh.
Did that get your attention? I never did, but it seemed like he was the only one who stood up on his hind legs to question obama, while everyone else were running away, cowering in fear due to being called "the r word" if they did. If you earned the EGA, widen your horizons.

FWIW, I spent a lot of time in the willy street area of madison (hippie ****), listened to their liberal/progressive media (wort/pacifica/wpr/npr/etc). Most of those affluent rich white kids (or spawn of rich white parents) didn't like me, but a few did as they knew me before they got the guilt at who they were and where they came from (symptom of the liberal/progressive disease).

Expand your horizons....don't isolate yourself or you may wind up being just a liberal/progressive...and that's a sad state for anyone.......................
