MILLER: Brady Campaign says Colorado recalls due to NRA, not grassroots opposition

"The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence held a conference call for reporters on Monday to spin its victories in the eight states that passed major laws restricting Second Amendment rights over the last year. [ ... ] “We really won this year. We beat them and they are desperate to cast the story the other way but that’s not the story that actually happened.” Mr. Gross laughed and added that, “The law that was actually passed — and by the way is still on the books — is going to make Colorado safer.”

i know that there was a lot of politicians that said, "OMG, i could lose my cushy job"
Luke 22:36 ; 36Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

The Brady Bunch are ones to talk about not being grassroots.

Even ifif – the NRA were as credit-worthy as the antis make them out to be (and were they the gun industry lobby – as the antis also make them out to be – rather than merely the concealed carry permit training industry lobby), they would still be representing an industry driven by the purchases of productive Americans, numbering in the millions. If that isn't popular demand, I dunno what is.

It's hilarious to twist things so that the anti-gun groups – all funded largely by uber-wealthy individuals – are the "grassroots".
