NM Gun Laws-What else has changed?

Hello,
I work at a city owned public Facility here in NM.

The Facility holds a Government Liquor License.

In the recent past, and according to I believe the NM Gaming-Alcohol Division, the only person(s) allowed to carry at such facilities were on duty LEO's, and as well private security companies with employees who has the proper certification (Class 3?)

I understand there might be differences in laws for "privately owned businesses" which hold a current State Issued Liquor License. Keep in mind this is a City owned property, with a State issued Government Liquor License.

Now, I'm being told these laws have changed recently (per the Gaming-Alcohol Division, or?), and that new laws in the books bans such private security firms that are hired as security, from being armed at such public facilities (city-county) which hold a state issued Liquor License.

Is this indeed fact, or are such city's rules deviations from actual state and-or Alcohol-Gaming Laws?

Hopefully, someone can enlighten me here.
TIA, Mark

Perhaps it will be wise for me to further elaborate, and make some further assumptions due to my own lack of knowledge-ignorance of State of NM Gaming-Alcohol Laws......

That perhaps I assumed wrong that any laws were recently changed by the State of NM, but rather there has been a change due to the City's own ignorance of State Alcohol-Gaming Laws?

I say this, because for a very short period in the past, there was an allowance of private security firms being armed at such public facilities, and at public events (Partys) that had the proper State Certification.

I am fairly aware-knowledged of the NM State 2nd Amendement Laws, but am now wondering does such Alcohol-Gaming Laws Apply?

Are you talking about a casino?

I haven't heard of anything that sounds like what you are talking about. Do you have references to any statutes and/or sections in the administrative code? I don't recall seeing anything about restricting certain security types from being armed in such a place.

Hi,
No, I'm referring to a Government license held by the city. No Casinos, which is also another whole topic about such is also not permitted (gambling, or even raffles with money gifts) with a regular issued liquor license is a no no)

Form what research I have done online, I have found no special clauses in the NM Alcohol-Gaming laws, that shows any differentiation between a privately held Liquor License versus a Government held License.

What I've read states "any", which I gather to mean all License Holders in the state all have to abide-follow the exact same set of laws-rules.

Thus, with the city supposedly claiming they are somehow held under a different set of rules in pertinence to armed, properly certified private security guards not being permitted to be on premises, is I believe a bunch of bunk.

I believe I would tend to agree.

Sounds like someone is playing politics and trying to restrict business, or make sure it is not given to certain parties.

If you can do so without making waves for yourself, I would ask the individual/s making such claims for citations. I bet they can't/won't supply them.
