WalkingWolf, Wishing you all the best with your recovery!

I put this in the Social Lounge, as this forum is social for me. Through our interactions, I have developed respect, mutual interests and concerns for many here. One that has stood out to me and I look forward to finding here is WalkingWolf. So I pay attention to his posts. This post of his caught my eye, and recalling it today, I thought I'd bring it back and see if others would join me in wishing a full, strong and speedy recovery.

"The 27th of this month I will be getting a taser placed under my chest with wires leading to my heart, to in case of abnormal rhythm to shock the heart back to normal. They will also be putting a pacemaker in at the same time, hopefully, depends on the size of my veins."

Give yourself whatever gifts of time and rest you need to feel better and know that youre surrounded by caring thoughts and prayers and heartfelt wishes. Rest easy. Get well. Return soon.

From the cop’s perspective, the expression “law-abiding citizen” is a functional synonym for “Properly obedient slave".

Please accept my best wishes for a full recovery also. And Fuller's suggestion to take all the time you need is a good one.

Remember to not lift that left arm for a while as you don't want to dislodge the wires leading to your heart nor the pacer/defibrillator generator from its placement.

Does seem a bit disingenuous to compare such a sophisticated piece of medical equipment with its myriad safety systems built in with a simple taser that is simply a dumb tool operated at times by other dumb tools just because they can (when used inappropriately) or LEO's and others in self-defense when justified.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, I just got home today. Kinda sore, but not too bad.

    Me, too.

Now, WW, be sure to instantly comply with all demands that you might make on yourself. Wouldn't wanta taser yourself, y'know.

(I hope the soreness goes away in good time.)

I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.
