    Back in Alabama

Well, I was. I am back in Ohio now.

I didn't want to say anything because I don't think it is a good policy to announce when my house is empty.

Anyway, now that I don't spend much time in Alabama anymore, they finally build an indoor range in Montgomery. So, Wendy and I went there yesterday to take her LC9 out for its first walk. Laser points low and left. Gotta adjust that. Once we knew how much, we were nailing the bull. Trigger pull is annoyingly long.

Range is a bit pricey compared to what I am used to paying in Dayton. However, we have a lot of ranges here, so competition keeps the prices reasonable. The lady who seemed to be in charge gave me a free hour when I commented on how pricey her establishment was.

She was OCing a six-inch revolver in a sweet leather cowboy holster. I asked if she ever OCed it in public. She routinely does. She was unsure of Alabama law, so I filled her in a bit and told her about OCDO.

She had only been asked to leave one place. She questioned the lack of a sign (I know, not required by Alabama law, but would be a nice courtesy), but left anyway. There was a LEO present by chance, but he didn't seem to fret at all. (I wonder why not?)

Anyway, if she pops by, let me be the first to say, "Howdy!"

Yes, always good policy to keep that information to yourself. I would suggest you install at least a four camera CCTV system for your home which will cover all of the perimeters around you home.

You can network it so that your home will be viewable on your phone, iPad, Android, computer, or other device while away from home.

Don't go cheap though as with anything, you get what you pay for.

Has nothing at all to do with carry.

Should be moved to maybe social lounge at best, locked otherwise.
