No charges in deadly South Carolina home invasion shooting

Columbia police say no charges will be filed after a man was shot and killed during a home invasion.

Police say a man broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment shortly before midnight Sunday and was shot by the woman's new boyfriend.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said 26-year-old Roderick Eugene Harris Jr. died at a Columbia hospital after being shot in the chest.

This is not the first time that SC LE makes this type of determination. SC LE looks very very unfavorably on those who invade homes. I had one Asst. Chief tell me that the magic words are "You feared for your life."

While Charlie Condon was AG he made good on his commitment to not prosecute homeowners killing homeinvaders. The home invasions stopped for his term.

why should there be charges? One should be able to shoot any uninvited "guests" that go upon your dwelling or land.

Normative and prescriptive statements (characterized by would, should, could) have no inherent truth value.
