Yes, you can.
Just as you can continue to walk and ride a bike after getting a driver's license you can still OC after getting a CC license.

I can only think of one license where you can't do afterwards everything that you used to do before you got it.

Actually, it's more complicated than that. I would write down your plan in list form, where you want to carry, what states you are passing through, IF Kentucky requires a permit to carry in a vehicle or if OC on the hip (or in plain sight) is OK.

I would research how Kentucky handles its permit database, how it handles accidental covering of a garment, how it views 'brandishing'.

If the State you wish to travel to is Ohio, then HECK YEAH you want a permit for Ohio (if you can get one) or see if Kentucky is acceptable there.

IOW, you might be going to a lot of trouble and expense for nothing. Or, you might NEED to take specific steps to get a specific set of out-of-state permits (by mail?) to avoid being arrested.

Do NOT go to Maryland, New York, NJ, California, or Illinois (for starters) with a firearm, no matter what. Carry one of these:

Living in the Mid-Atlantic region, I can NOT drive to Florida, basically, no matter what I do, unless I drive through Georgia non-stop on Sunday in peak traffic.

Good luck! Use handgunlaw.us as a guide (it's not official) Here is a Map generated by selecting "Kentucky". So you are covered by reciprocity in almost all the places around you EXCEPT Illinois.

Kentucky has one of the most widely accepted CDWL in the whole union, has easy to meet requirements, and is not cost prohibited.

I would suggest EVERYONE who can to get a KY CDWL.

Kentucky statute of Menacing.
