"A 9-year-old Boston boy was accidentally shot and killed by his older brother, who has been charged in connection with his death, police said Friday."
The 14-year-old is facing charges that include involuntary manslaughter and unlawful possession of a firearm, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said.
Conley said investigators believe the boy was handling the gun recklessly when it went off and struck his younger brother. There’s no evidence yet that anyone else at the home knew that the boy possessed the firearm, Conley said.
“Part of our investigation in the days to come will be determining how this weapon got into the hands of a 14-year-old,” Conley said
