Although i dont bank with regions, my dad's LLC does and he asked me to stop in and wire some money through his regions account last week. I work for a national corporation and have a company car so i cant have a firearm on me during the day but there was a fresh no weapons sign at the Regions in bartlett, TN. As i was wiring the money i mentioned the sign to the young AA guy helping me.

He replied "well yeah, we're a bank and dont want to get robbed or anything"
i casually replied "aww come on, surely you cant envision two robbers with masks running up with guns drawn then seeing your sign and saying to each other oooo too bad, we cant rob this place, let's go to suntrust next door" right?
he kind of chuckled and said "yeah youre probably right but guns make people uncomfortable and there was an issue where someone got combative (OCer im assuming)."
Anyway, i obviously wasnt going to win but i think i planted a seed. I just ended, with "well, seeing a calm, normally dressed person, waiting in line with a safely holstered firearm makes me feel safer. "

Just thought i would share my experience.

All Region banks in TN are posted by corporate policy. If you find one that isn't, it's an oversight by local management.

AFAIK, they post in other states too, even though they have no force of law.
