We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :)
Please help by posting all issues here.
The forum will be down for about an hour this weekend for maintenance. I apologize for the inconvenience.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit — the first to rule, ahead of the Supreme Court, that the Second Amendment right to have a gun extends nationwide — today issued the most sweeping decision yet on the right to carry a gun in public places. The amendment means, the panel ruled in a two-to-one decision, that it is unconstitutional to confine the “right to bear” arms solely to the home. http://www.scotusblog.com/2014/02/sweeping-ruling-on-guns-in-public/
Actually Moore did this first I think ... with that old timer judge talking about his uncle in NYC carrying when it was illegal to do so...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore_v._Madigan
Many of the best legal minds in the field, believe they would uphold such a requirement, if it allows almost every non-criminal adult to obtain such a 'permission slip' in a shall-issue environment with a reasonable fee structure.
