Hehe, I don't think they are "letting their guard down" by any means. You can take that to mean the police or the OCers, I'm sure it's true for both. But, it seems to have been a pleasant conversation and does go to show the group isn't out there to stir the pot, cause trouble, make noise in a negative sense, etc. Just there to... well, to do exactly what their missions statement says that they're there to do.
