KIEV, Ukraine — An opposition unit took control of the presidential palace outside Kiev on Saturday, as leaders in Parliament said Ukraine’s president, Viktor F. Yanukovych, had fled the capital a day after a deal was reached aimed at ending the country’s spiral of violence.

A country trying to further sever ties with Russia ... looks like some people did not agree to accept any deal.

Similar to the IRA in Ireland .. many factions, some not willing to surrender in their eyes.

If this was the US..tanks would have been sent in to crush these sovereign citizens.

Don't be too quick to drink the msm koolade and side With the protesters. The rift between east andwest Ukraine is centuries old and will not be solved anytime soon. Further, the protesters flying the black and red flag sare the decsendants of Bandara who was Ukrainian nazi ss. They fought first and did most of the damage...not the government. Generally, leading ukrainians is like herding cats. Last...guns are legal in Ukraine. ..if liscened. Easier to get a real ak there than here. :)
