I stopped by the Raleigh Wally World on Glenwood the other day. I went in to get a few things and had no strange looks but was stopped by one older gentleman. We met as we bumped into eatch other.

Old Guy: "What ya carrying?"

Me: "XDS .40"

OG: "Nice gun. Thanks for not being afraid."

Me: "its our right, right?"

OG: "Exactly! Take care!"

Me: "You too."


As I turned down the aisle to get my things, some lady was just shaking her head. I thought about asking if something was wrong but didn't want to make it seem I was starting trouble.


The managers their don't even flinch.

Open carry in Raleigh, great job. It isn't everyday that I actually see anyone else carry a gun anymore. I've carried my SR-9 in Walmart round home so often I don't think they even notice anymore. When I first said the hell with concealed carry and started carrying my SR-9 on the outside of my pants I did get a few questions and more than one old lady asking if I had a permit for that thing but everyone seems to have just faced it. If I show up my SR-9 does too. Have a great day.:)

What Wal-mart if I may ask? Any thoughts on trying to have an OC meet here in Raleigh?
