Gun-free zones are ‘killing zones,’ says Illinois activist
A leading female gun rights advocate in Illinois was quoted yesterday by The Southern Illinoisan, which serves several communities in the lower Prairie State, stating unequivocally that so-called “gun-free” zones are “killing zones.”

Illinois mails first 5,000 CCW permits
Illinois State Police began mailing the first 5,000 concealed carry licenses today, marking the beginning of a new era in the Prairie State, according to the Chicago Tribune, and Bellevue’s Second Amendment Foundation is cheering because it was a SAF federal court case, and a similar case filed by the National Rifle Association, that forced the state into the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] Century.
