Open Carry challenge filed in Johnson County District Court - Case No 14-CV-1882

I have filed this case along with my nephew who was held at gun point by a Shawnee police officer and then had his firearms confiscated.

Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Well uncle Eric, I wish you luck, but recommendations or suggestions shouldve been sought by an attorney before filing suit.....

    Well written. Best wishes.

I think his complaint is somewhat well written. but what glares out to me is that the uncle may be severed from the suit, I can't find where the uncle has standing to bring the suit....

which will leave the nephew as the only plaintiff.

personally I think its pretty cool to help though, my uncle if i got popped on an open carry related charge would only say "I told you so" and then if i tried to argue rights he would say "well sometimes being right isn't worth the trouble"

I'm sure the guy would like suggestions .. he likely has 30 days to amend w/o seeking leave of the court.

Shoot him a call if you see an error.
