Murphy Security thinks its records are secret ~ wrong

This is the company that does security at many state buildings. They think that they are not subject to our Freedom of Information Act. They would be wrong.

In prior cases, like case #1998-380 linked below, if they perform the same task that would be performed by a state agency then they are the functional equivalent and are subject to the Act's records provisions.

I was seeking several records from them (related to other firearm cases) but they refused; hence, a filing of a complaint today.
