It has just a regular snap on the end of the leather strap. But the fit for the firearm is really really snug. Somewhat difficult to draw. But I bet that it will loosen up some the more I use it.

Yes you can. The strap will also fit around the grip, but it somewhat pushes down on the grip safety. But yet is somewhat loose at the same time. I prefer it cocked and locked. Just didnt have it that way in the picture.
