More fearsome than the sound of a 12-guage pump shotgun being racked

What could have turned into a very ugly stand off ended when one of the victims being held on the lower level screamed out. The scream? For the man upstairs to grab his AR-15.

Even criminals and thugs can do basic math. While 5 armed intruders against 3 hostages and one armed resident seemed to be to the intruders advantage, Senor AR-15 and his 31 very speedy friends changed the equation. How did they react?

When you read the rest of the article, be sure to have "Yakety Sax" playing in your head.

Seen-your AR-15 indeed!

stay safe.

Ah, yes, the devastating 4-inch spread across an average room distance.

Plus recoil, muzzle blast and flash - what's not to like? An AR is more manageable for most people and has less recoil, muzzle blast and flash, and when loaded with good self-defense ammo is much, much less likely to penetrate interior walls and still have enough energy to injure or kill innocents.

Agreed, shotguns are flashy n stuff, but for interior effectiveness with less chance of harm to bystanders I'll take something with small caliber, high velocity, lightweight projectiles. For me, it's a PS90 which I think fits that particular niche nicely.

I would not have called the cops but brought the guy down to the station. I don't let cops on my land ...

I wonder how much hassle these guys went through for owning the AR?

As for the intruders if they would have got plugged? Sucks to be them.

All the guys will now get an AR and sleep with it. Good dreams will follow.
