No charges in school pellet-gun incident. Cops, guns drawn, rushed to the school.

Police recommended the boy be charged with disorderly conduct, But, District Attorney David Lasee says there's no evidence the boy was threatening anyone with the weapon. “We don’t think (the incident) was that egregious,” Lasee said. “There was no violence involved. There was nothing to suggest he was threatening anyone or pointing it at anyone.”

LOL 948.61  Dangerous weapons other than firearms on school premises.
    (1) In this section:
    (a) "Dangerous weapon" has the meaning specified in s. 939.22 (10), except "dangerous weapon" does not include any firearm and does include any beebee or pellet-firing gun that expels a projectile through the force of air pressure or any starter pistol.

    DA says 'we're being nice'
Law says 'no standing to arrest' (see cite).

    Nice.

Sounds like the kid was smart and kept his mouth shut ... not providing them evidence to support any charges
