Vets, active-duty military cope better'n you, Gallup-Healthways, TWT

Some said the results come as no surprise, because the military braces members to face adversity.

“What do I have to worry about back in the civilian world? A missed report, a client I failed to sign? The penalties for failure to perform in combat are far more severe,” said Gallup senior consultant David Goldich, a discharged veteran who served two tours in Iraq. “The military experience is defined by resilience. Your fellow troops are counting on you to perform under pressure at all times. Quitting is not an option.”

Admiral Rickover was criticised for hiring and qualifying veterans ...

Admiral Rickover was criticized for hiring and qualifying veterans as engineers without degrees. He called us his evil-necessities. After he retired and DoN was made to hire engineering graduates, the program dwindled and failed. I vetted résumés, the least bad of which were inflated, the worst were outright fabrications. A brilliant graduate engineer had a 'nervous breakdown' when faced with her final exam at GD Electric Boat, all written, academic and theory, nothing practical, not an oral board-examination.

Rickover defended his decisions before Congress in brilliant arguments for management from the shop-floor.

Or it shows that military members work less hard than non-military members.

For 99% of the military, it is easier than in the civilian world.

Even a blind pig sometimes snuffles a truffle; that's your value. But sometimes ... sometimes I wonder.

You have made a statement of fact. Care to provide a cite?

Really, a statement of fact, as though you agree?

A is A is a statement of fact, and it conveys no information, as though it is the naked word true.

The statement was made as if it is fact; it may be only opinion, but was not presented as such. If DM is giving this as a fact, I would like to know his source; if opinion, a basis.
Would changing the word "of" to "as" make it the cite request understandable?

I worked in both worlds .. so I know, from my experience, that the military has many non-stress jobs ... and they are, still, after all government workers.

My 2 cents ... for your ridicule, enjoyment, or agreement.
