"Citing ATF's recent operational failures and its overlap with other federal law enforcement, Sensenbrenner is preparing a bill to dissolve the agency and have existing agencies in the U.S. Justice Department take on its duties."

Would they be saving money with this "elimination" by increasing the budgets of the receiving departments only by 30-50% to cover the increase in there UNCONSTITUTIONAL responsibilities?

Seems that with my luck at times, the Lottery numbers would be "winning" numbers, but it would be for the previous years drawing so would be no good! LOL

We should pool our "winnings" and split the take

I did hear of a poor sap who did win a million dollar lottery, but it paid out $1.00 per year for 1million years!

And with this, I'll end this particular thread hijack UNLESS I am enticed not to do so.

The ATF took what authority they have, from the IRS... The ATF is only really supposed to be a tax collecting agency.
Provision for free medical attendance and nursing, for clothing, for food, for housing, for the education of children, and a hundred other matters, might with equal propriety be proposed as tending to relieve the employee of mental strain and worry. --- These matters obviously lie outside the orbit of congressional power. I always have winning numbers....those idiots at the Lottery just never pick them.

In the case of the Power Ball lottery, the odds of winning, of your number being drawn, are about 200 million to one ("1:175,223,510"), that's of having the winning number. The odds of picking the winning number are precisely the same. If they were independent events - WHICH THEY ARE NOT - then the odds would be the product 1:4 x 10^16. That seems about right to me, pretty close to zero chance.

Because the odds are only 1:175,223,510, fools - like me - keep playing for The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable
