Raytheonís Boomerang shooter detection system tells troops from where enemy is firing

Raytheon’s “Boomerang” shooter detection system can be mounted on vehicles such as Humvees, embedded on helicopters, or simply sit on a serviceman’s shoulder [Boomerang Warrior-X], the company said. “When a shot is detected, Boomerang immediately calls out, (for example), ‘Shot. Two o’clock. 400 meters.’ The o’clock position also appears on the dial and range and elevation appear on the LED display screen,” Raytheon’s website states.

How is this different from te system that was just in the news for so many false reports and missing so many real shots fired?

Well, OK, except for the fact that since it's for the military it costs at least 30000% more.

    stay safe.

Shi'cago already spent their money, shot their wad so to speak, on ShotSpotter, the biggest scam since Sancho PONZI attacked the windmills.
