How is OC in NC? Is it frowned upon by leos? Is it more restricted than Wisconsin? I notice thar NC has reciprocity with WI. Here I have had no trouble with leos/sheriffs bec 1) I know them and 2) WI is an OC state without a CC license which restricts the OC to the federal GFSZs, with a CC license exempted from it. I also notice that like WI NC bans carry from Federal and state buildings.

So if I oc there like I do here how well will it go with local leos/sheriffs.

Law abider, advance to arriving to the tarheel state, WELCOME

OC is accepted throughout as we OC'ers consider it a model state for the practice. nightmare provided you an excellent resource with the NC statutes and i have provided the NC attorney general's overview of firearm activities within the state. http://www.ncdoj.gov/getdoc/32344299-a2a7-4ae5-99fd-9018262f64ac/NC-Firearms-gun-Laws.aspx

have you decided where you are going to settle in the state?

Read through the NC Experience thread and you'll see that for the most part, there are no issues with OC here.

Where are you planning on moving to?

Thanks bro. I have a friend in Cove City near New Bern and my Wifey's sister is in Ferrington near tri cities. So I have to pick. I love NC when I visited a while back. My friend in Cove City was the head of NC fisheries and took me to Clyde's Fisheries on Pamilco Sound. Then we Rved to Outer banks. On my second RV trip I visited Emerald Isle. camped at a RV site right on the beach. Recommended by my friend who knows owner personally. Wanting to 'retire' in NC. I'll read all the preemption of firearm laws for NC. I'll keep you all posted.

No problem with LEOs here in NC. They look at the gun and keep an eye on you, but that's fine because I do the same to them. They don't bother you or say anything. I have yet to be disarmed during a traffic stop. Make sure you check out the meet section once you move down here.

Welcome to NC, the only problem OC has in this state is there are never enough OCers. But of course that probably is true of every state.
