    Thanks for sharing.

Libertarianism is on the rise. I don't think the moment has arrived especially when the Libertarian party keeps sacrificing principles to appease to other parties. The classical liberals did that and became worse than the big government conservatives.

Rand, Amash, Glen Beck and others need to put to rest any claims they are libertarian. They are not. Have they been influenced, yep and good.

Of course in my view the libertarian party is the small L where as Rothbardians like myself are the big L, principles of non coercion should not be sacrificed for political gain.
I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

I think the Libertarian party has gained ground to the extent it has deviated from libertarian principle. When Libertarianism gets its moment it will just be Republicanism in a different hat.

Democrats, republicans and libertarians are all progressives in that they think that they and their party are better able to legislate to make-things-better than the alternatives.

We need an anti-progressive reactionary political movement to conserve those things that are good and rescind and undo the bad.

My eyes were opened by inter alia Timothy Ferris' book The Science of Liberty: Democracy, Reason, and the Laws of Nature. HarperCollins 2010. ISBN 978-0-06-078150-7.

Why don't you tell us all what you define as good that should be conserved, and that which is bad and should be rescinded. Then I'll tell you what to read...

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson.

"Better that ten guilty persons escape, than that one innocent suffer" - English jurist William Blackstone.
It is AFAIK original to me. Compromise is failure on the installment plan, particularly when dealing with so intractable an opponent as ignorance. - Nightmare

The First protects the Second, and the Second protects the First. Together, they protect the rest of our Bill of Rights and our United States Constitution, and help We the People protect ourselves in the spirit of our Declaration of Independence.
