WHO ARE THE PALESTINIANS? By Yashiko Sagamori. November 25, 2002

Yashiko Sagamori is a New York-based Information Technology consultant. This essay is a response to a letter by a newspaper reader who referred to the so-called "Palestinian people". This version was reprinted from Christian Action for Israel. (http://www.christianactionforisrael.org). The article appeared first in Arutz Sheva and is reprinted with their permission.

Quite a few of my co-workers are Zionists and they send me things.

As far as I'm concerned there's too much disinfo on the subject to form a substantive opinion about it. I'm not fond of any of the attitudes I see and it's not my battle to fight. I would rather be uninformed than misinformed.

That is precisely the attitude against which Santayana wrote when he doomed US as savages.

"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. (George Santayana, The Life of Reason, Reason in Common Sense. http://www.gutenberg.org/author/George+Santayana)

I think if the Palestinians stopped fighting then the Jews would too. But not the other way around ... something to consider.
