A link to the case via The Volockh Conspiracy (which seems to be wonky this morning (8/12) and an analysis that provides a good summary of the events leading to the case.

Getting to the actual decision seems problematic this morning (8/12). Maybe later?

Basically, the cops told Mr. Vaughn (at least two different times) to drop a stick he had picked up for self protection. After he dropped the stick the last time one of the people he was looking to protect hmself from walked up to him with a metal baseball bat and hit him on the head, causing Vaughn's death. The police never told baseball bat guy to drop it.

Remember, the "arms" we have the right to keep and bear are not limited to firearms.

stay safe.

I don't see where the guy (or his estate) argued his right to keep and bear arms were violated ...

It would have been an argument that I would have made.
