    Nassim Taleb's 'Sins to Remember'

Muscles without strength, friendship without trust, opinion without risk, change without aesthetics, age without values, food without nourishment, power without fairness, facts without rigor, degrees without erudition, militarism without fortitude, progress without civilization, complication without depth, fluency without content; these are the sins to remember.

    I thought they were:

    1. Lust
    2. Gluttony
    3. Greed
    4. Sloth
    5. Wrath
    6. Envy
    7. Pride
The First protects the Second, and the Second protects the First. Together, they protect the rest of our Bill of Rights and our United States Constitution, and help We the People protect ourselves in the spirit of our Declaration of Independence.

Taleb is Lebanese Greek Orthodox, bin Amioun, polymath well retired quantitative analyst - quant, and essayist. All would benefit from reading and understanding him, at least his popularized books.
