"In the decision released this morning, Federal Eastern District of California Senior Judge Anthony W. Ishii, appointed to the bench by President Bill Clinton, found that “the 10-day waiting periods of Penal Code [sections 26815(a) and 27540(a)] violate the Second Amendment” as applied to members of certain classifications, like Silvester and Combs, and “burdens the Second Amendment rights of the Plaintiffs.”
I am not a lawyer, I study the history of gun control laws.

While good, it's small comfort really when the police of almost all states are still pretty much saying 'Pay us money for a license you don't need or we'll harass you, chase you. kidnap you and extort more money from you and then release you on condition that you comply with what right we tell you that you have'
"Which part of shall not be infringed is so difficult to understand"?

It is still in effect for first time purchasers who don't already have a license or certificate though. It's a positive stepping stone I guess.

Carrying an XDm 9mm with Hornady Critical Defense hollowpoint. Soon to be carrying a Ruger along with it....
