I would appreciate input on the proper condition carry of the Sig P238. For anyone unfamiliar with Sig P238, it looks like a shrunk down 1911 in 380ACP minus the grip safety. It is also SA only with NO decocker. My son bought one and carrys it with round in chamber and hammer down. He feels this is the safest way to carry. I think it's best to carry round in chamber, hammer cocked and safety on. I also believe you can flick off the safety faster than thumb cocking it, being it's SA only. I think lowering the hammer on live round without a decocker is unsafe. I feel it's perfectly safe to carry with round in chamber, hammer cocked and safety on. I would greatly appreciate your opinions on this matter. Thank you in advance.
