Land of the Coward, Home of the Slave. But at least we got our guns! (Not applicable in NY, MA, MD, NJ, CT, CA, HI or District of Columbia).

I almost had cash stolen from swine who pulled me over in South Carolina in 2009, I was told that if it had been a hundred more ( more than a thousand), they would have stolen it unless I could prove it wasn't drug money.

I like your wording. It certainly would have been stolen as opposed to the more typically used 'confiscated' term

Friends recently returned from a tour of China commented that the primary different between the US and China is that the chinese have the common decency to tell you you are being tracked and monitored. Besides that traveling in china is much like going to see the Statue of Liberty or Liberty Bell. .. Same type of searches. Well. They did say that security in china were more friendly and gentle about the whole thing.

So, no surprised by thie. This is not the America I grew up in or expected to inherit. :-(
