One chief I talked to on Friday said that the guy entered the building from an exit doorway and that 30 rounds were fired by non-assailant personnel.

Listening to the audio on youtube 30+ sounds right. This is being discussed a bit in the Canada subforum. I don't believe the Sergeant at Arms hero narrative. IMO it has been put out there to direct the publics feeling son what transpired in Ottawa. Sure he may have been firing his weapon as well but so was at least 1 other and maybe more.

I counted 25+ with some going off at the same time, so at least two responders. Some of the rounds sounded different, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were 3-4 shooters and I don't know how many rounds the BG let off.
