HAHA! At my old hunt club in Heath Springs, SC we accidentally cut down about a 6 inch short pine with a 30.06 once.

1 - Be sure of your target and what's behind it. Especially what's behind it.

2 - Keep your muzzle pointed downrange at all times. Yes, that includes when you are running for your life.
