I probably won't be able to make it...but I'm trying to get a 500 round can of 165 grain .40 S&W. Precision One worked out great last time and the price wasn't horrible at $180. I've heard good things about Georgia Arms too. Either way, if someone would like to help a brother out, I've gots da moneys! 1000 round cans are cool too, but the price would have to be right.

Always on the lookout for full power .460 Rowland practice ammo as well...although that's probably a longshot.

Hopefully I can make it on Sunday morning before work, but it's going to be a busy weekend driving to and from Charleston, SC.

Man, I miss Charleston, you're lucky! Also, if it's the same show I was looking at today, it was rescheduled to the 15th-16th. Maybe you can make that? I'll definitely be there at least one of the days trying to spend some money.

*Edit* Looks like there's one in Richmond (which I assume is the one you'd be referring to) and one in Norfolk. Norfolk was originally the 1st-2nd and Richmond originally the 15th-16th. Looks like they flip flopped their dates. Either way, I'll keep an eye out for the ammo.

If you are planning to buy Georgia Arms ammo at a gun show, get on the phone and buy it with your credit card, then ask them to put it on the truck to the show. Saves you shipping charges and assures you will get what you want (presuming it is in stock when you call in your order).

Back during The Great Famine I ordered "a bunch" of .45acp and told them I would not be able to pick it up till Sunday after 12 Noon. Not a problem. Rolled in at 1:30PM and their table was showing "SOLD OUT" of everything non-exotic - as especially the .45ACP. Showed them my ID and picked up cans with my name written on the top. I probably could have broken open the cans and sold individual rounds for 10 times what I paid for it. Fortunately, I had an escort squad so we were not mugged in the parking lot.

stay safe.

Nope!!!!!!!

I'll either be out for the first day of muzzle loading hunting or something more important that the date hasn't been set yet.

There's also a show on November 15-16 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference center.

I'll be there. I have 2 tables for VaGunTrader.

If you can buy it online at their website I can pick it up for you. I live near Petersburg but we can figure something out to get the ammo to you.

BTW ... If anyone here has guns, ammo, or accessories to sell feel free to use our tables, thats what I have them for. No charge to use the tables.

Precision one is perpetually sold out of the 500 round boxes of .40. Georgia Arms has some in stock. I will call them tomorrow and let you know. Thanks!

Let me know local Walmart is stocked full of 40sw..

Do you recall bullet weights and brands? I'm against anything Remington save maybe 165gr Golden Sabers. Not opposed to a lighter bullet.

I'm pretty much committed to Federal 165gr HST for self defense. I love em, and based on my research they have arguably the best terminal ballistics of any .40 round, even the high energy/low bullet weight Underwood stuff. Watch some of the ballistics gel videos on YouBoob. The HST bullets are just nasty.

Right now it only makes sense for me to buy bulk .40 in the flavor I shoot during playtime. I honestly see no need to even have on hand more than 6 magazines of SD rounds, a couple hundred if I just happen to have extra cash laying around asking to be spent. Nothing wrong with stockpiling some FMJ for playtime IMO.

As for .460 Rowland, I'm going to make a post about reloading in my .460R thread here in a minute. I've been doing some reloading research. GA has 1000 rds. for $830. That's a little scary. Stay tuned.

It's an easy round to reload. You just have to have the brass. I have a die set I could part with I think.
In a pinch you can shoot ACP in it. The extractor holds it against the slide face so headspace isn't an issue. Same as the 40 and 10mm.

Reloaders rule #1. Grab every piece of brass you can find for the Rowland. It ain't everywhere.
