    OT: Iowa Traffic Tickets

Can anyone tell me if its required to sign a traffic ticket in Iowa?

If one were to refuse, the officer likely would take him before a magistrate where an appearance bond could be expected.

Signing the citation is not an admission of guilt, only an acknowledgement of receipt and promise to appear.

    I don't promise them anything !

I demand that it be replaced by an information or complaint !

I guess I should rephrase the question. When a ticket is issued, do the officers ask you to sign or do you just get the ticket?

Didn't know that you'd gotten a traffic citation in Iowa.
