This is the future in Washington....

“We recently started a program where we’re cross referencing all the pistol permit holders with the death records, and we’re sending people out to collect the guns whenever possible so that they don’t end up in the wrong hands,” said Police Commissioner Daniel Derrenda.
Washington DOL already has a database of pistols purchased from FFLs in Washington. The new law from I-594 will require:

    (g) A person who ... acquired a pistol by operation of law upon the death of the former owner of the pistol within the preceding sixty days. At the end of the sixty-day period, the person must either have lawfully transferred the pistol or must have contacted the department of licensing to notify the department that he or she has possession of the pistol and intends to retain possession of the pistol, in compliance with all federal and state laws.
John Q. Public dies, the DOL looks in their database and sees that he purchased 5 pistols over the course of 10 years from FFLs in Washington - on day 61 anti-gun sheriff knocks on John Public's widow's door with a search warrant signed by Judge Fred Bonner for the guns and arrests her if they find the pistols in the house. Instant felon, go to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.

How many people don't look in boxes that they took away from a deceased person's abode even for years?

    No, this is imho.

The Mayor of Seattle is about to dictate MMJ on a state level.

    It'll work.

Then later him, or a future Mayor, will do the same with firearms. (i.e. end of preemption, AWB, mag bans, etc)

If y'all were smart, you'd fight for the Rights of MMJ patients and try to head it off at the pass.
