Guns will inevitably come up in conversation at the family meal thursday. All but one will be wearing a pistol, openly, so it is a good possibility.

They are the people's liberty teeth (and) keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference .When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour." -- George Washington

    Armed and annoyingly well informed!

Even relatives who were anti-gun have been switching over to being pro-gun. Another idea of bloomduffus that will have unintended consequences.

I concealed carry on Thanksgiving. Took off my Model 13 .357 and shoulder holster when we got there (hiway drive) and left the Model 37 snubby on the belt under the vest. Getting ready to leave my nephew came outside and saw me sans vest with the snubby and putting on the .357 in the shoulder holster. His words? "I knew you were carrying! I just couldn't tell what and how!" We had a good laugh when he pulled up his sweater to reveal his Ruger SR40C.

    Well, I OCed on Thanksgiving.

Needed to get a last minute grocery item, and had the "brilliant" idea of going to Walmart. Of course, it was right before 6pm and the "Black Thursday" rush was already well under way. After about 10 minutes of navigating through the areas least congested by walking South Park parodies, I realized the grievous nature of my blunder and drove to Dollar General, which was pleasantly uncrowded.

A riveting adventure, to say the least.
