A chokehold didn't kill Eric Garner an asphyxiating dog pile of police officers did. THIS is when he was saying he couldn't breathe. I don't think he died protesting taxes.

But if the tax on a pack was not 5-6 bucks a pack then his business model would have not been viable.

The pack he was selling out of had a tax stamp, so he was not protesting anything.

At best he was running a single-product convenience store without paying for a business license. As he never had a chance to declare his sales we will never know if he intended to submit the various taxes associated with sales.
