America's Credit Union (ACU) Firearms policy

I'm shopping around for a new bank/credit union and I was wondering if anybody here deals with ACU and knows what their corporate policy is regarding firearms.
    Armed and annoyingly well informed!

They have the universal no guns signs posted at all the branches I've been to. Never bothered to ask what the policy is.

If you have a Keybank, go there. I spoke to one of the managers and he said they not only allow carry but he has several open carriers in his branch.

as a side point Jack in the Box is not posted, nor is the local Starbucks

I have had no issues with my banks in Lacey. Wells Fargo, and Chase. WF has a BIG sign saying no ball caps, no sunglasses, no hoodies, but nothing about guns.

Oh, my. Those evil, scary ball caps! Can't be wearing those! How about my ball cap that says, "US Naval Aviation" and my aviator wings?! They don't like veterans?! Screw 'em!

It is because they dont want anyone to conceal their face from the security cameras.

I'm leaning more towards a credit union instead of a bank for my purposes. I'm wanting to get away from the major banks and deal with something local. That's why I'm looking at ACU because they are local to the Pierce county area. Also, most banks don't deal with personal lones which I'm looking at doing for the purposes of helping me pay for expenses regarding school.

I've been a customer with Bank of America and I have had very few problems regarding firearms at BoA. Only problem I have ever had was 1 employee that didn't know about corporate policy and was quickly corrected by the branch manager. Since then, no problems at all. I've even been told by a few employees at my local branch that they were happy to see me and my firearm because of a recent issue that happened.

Sounds like that they hate veterans ... who wear caps.

I wear my cap into my bank that has the same signs. Know what? They welcome me putting more $$ into my pile of cash already at the bank.

Maybe they don't like poor vets .. me, they love!

I bank with Chase and BECU - I have OCed many times in many locations and have never had a problem. BECU also has superb interest rates and has helped save me a lot of money on a couple of my loans.

Been very happy with Timberland bank, carried into my 2 local branches with no problems; customer service and rates are excellent, even get money back on checking and all foreign ATM fees paid back into your account every month. And I love that any of their numbers you call gets you a human being on the other end instantly; no phone tree hell. They aren't a credit union, but they are a small local business and much better than any of the conglomerates.

i left ACU when i saw their sign. I went to Sound Credit union. Open carry all the time there, even had a good conversation with a teller.

I met the guy that bought my truck a few years ago at the NFCU . And I had someone tell me I cant carry in there . I told them I was receiving a large amount of cash for the sale of a vehicle and the police would not escort me home therefore I had to secure my own security. I then took care of my transaction and have not cast my shadow on their door again .
