since police recordings seem to be of interesta: MD lady is suing

    http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2...f-another-man/

A 36-year-old Baltimore woman claims she was tased by police and arrested while filming the arrest of a man with her mobile phone, according to a lawsuit to be served on the Baltimore City Police Department as early as Thursday.

    I hope she wins $1,000,000,000.

Registering gun owners to prevent crime, is like registering Jews to prevent a HOLOCAUST.

Even better if a significant portion was taken directly from all officers involved in the attempt to destroy evidience by deleting the video from her phone!

That should be grounds for tampering of evidence charges.

It will be interesting to read the outcome. I suspect that the cops involved will not suffer any meaningful consequences. I certainly desire to not see a settlement.

I think the popo has some prob probs!

It won't go to trial.....I see a settlement out of court. I don't see a jury giving her the requested millions; nor do I see the city wanting to go to trial to set precedent......so I imagine both sides will come to a monetary agreement.

Thank goodness we have Apple & Android phones & Youtube & OCDO - think of all of the abuse that must have gone on when cops before everyone was equipped with portable recorders. Now every citizen has ability to drop a dime on illegal behavior by those entrusted with power to police - we can see the it with our own eyes & ears.

No, Eric Holder is going to be making a bid for vice president with Anthony Weiner as the president, it will be the "Weiner Holder" ticket. So right now Holder does not want to convict any criminals because if he were to do so, he would lose the criminal vote because they would be in prison.

It was reported on another liberty minded site that her father is a police officer...

this will be hard to predict:
department settles for $50,000.00 or undisclosed amount and admits no wrong doing.
a few more speeding tickets a day are issued.

"The video does not capture enough information to draw definitive conclusions about what transpired before, during, and after the arrest," the department said. "What is clear is that the language used is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
Code for a harshly-ish worded Post-it note placed in the applicable service records.

$7 million, good luck squeezing blood from a turnip. The 50Gs seems like the likely outcome.

The police response is the same as others who cannot break the chains of the sheepherder, pied piper. "Evidence not shown on video supported the violent act". In other words forget that at that moment their clearly was no justification and only focus on that "she deserved it".
