News agencies still reporting on original Grisham arrest as if recent

So, some news workers are still pulling up the original Grisham arrest and miscommunicating that it occurred recently... But anyway, what I found interesting are the analysts' comments that the arresting officer seemed poorly trained and as though he invented a reason to arrest so that he wouldn't have to take the cuffs off. They're still having a hard time letting go the notion that a citizen did "something wrong" when they're unlawfully arrested, though.

Fox and most other media are not well known for their fact checking.

Watching that video still angers me as much as it did the first time I saw it.

Cannot figure out how the Sgt. was interfering with the duties of a police officer for which he was found guilty.

That and "exercising a privilege"? - it is a RIGHT.

Does anyone remember why this verdict wasn't appealed?

Appeal was filed but that's all I know off the top of my head. I'll try to get more info.

I agree on him calling it a privilege, very annoying and misleading.

I think the conviction was obtained only because the trial was a sham. I think the city spent a lot of money making sure it was, too.

Found this regarding filing the appeal, but no date given for it.

The results of many jury trials have caused me to lose quite a bit of faith in society. Even when verdicts turn out correctly, statements by the jurors after the trail make me hang my head in disappointment...
