Question about transporting/storing a handgun in your vehicle.

So there's a possibility that while I'm on vacation in Ky that I might go to Indiana to do some snow tubing. My question is, is there a certain way a gun must be stored in a vehicle if I decide not to carry it on me. I'm from Florida and have a valid fl cc permit. I read that for non licensed individuals you can keep your handgun in your car if it's unloaded, not readily accessible and securely encased. Since I have a valid license it's fine for me to leave it loaded in the car correct?

Go to http://handgunlaw.us/, then click on Indiana on the map. That will download a file that contains current information related to your question.

From my brief scan of the document, it appears that you may carry a loaded handgun in your car if you have a valid permit. See the bottom of page 7 for the law.
