We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :)
Please help by posting all issues here.
The forum will be down for about an hour this weekend for maintenance. I apologize for the inconvenience.
No, which is why it is absurd to believe that a representative government might possess a power or authority that is not possessed by any of those being represented, from which the representative government supposedly derives its authority.
Well you cannot delegate rights. You can only delegate privilege, authority, and/or power. Rights are yours by birth. So knowing this, you cannot delegate privilege, authority, and/or power which you do not already have to someone else.
Yet Congress is delegated the power to impose taxes which power no person had. The same applies to the judicial powers which no individual had. If this is correct the premise of the thread may be invalid.
