Or do it before the bill goes to committee and watch the guy cry and cry in the committee ...

He isn't going to cry...he shifts gears...he voted against SH last year then when he knew he was going to lose, tried to amend it to conform to the North Carolina model.

Harassment of elected officials, or anyone for that matter, is not the means recommended or condoned by OCDO or VCDL and there may be potential legal repercussions for such conduct.

We prefer to take the high road and deal responsibly with facts not emotional outbursts.

You cannot see that it was joking?

I think so as the posting(s) are still there.

Overmoderation is not moderation at all.

Lacking any indication of being a joke, neither I nor the public reading this forum would have any reason but to believe that you were making a true statement.

The postings have been soft deleted to preserve them.

Your opinion of moderation is moot - of little or no practical value. We have rules and standards for good reason.

1mile is a pretty good distance. Would shut tannerite down on my backyard range and most public ranges i go to. I notice also it does not contain the exemption of "unless written permision of occupant is obtained" that is on most of the hunting/discharge regulations i see. So even if the only dwelling within 1 mile is my own i cant grant myself permission huh?

This bill is really not about tannerite. It's one more part of the camel in the tent - "You can keep and bear arms all you want. But we're going to make sure you cannot do anything with them beyond that."

If it were about the noise created by tannerite the bill would be focused on amending the law on disturbing the peace. But see http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+15.2-917 - there's no license/permit required to be designated a sport shooting range.

See Paragraph #1 above.

stay safe.
