Itís time to abolish the CIA. Bruce Fein, TWT

    By Bruce Fein - - Wednesday, December 31, 2014

    The CIA should be abolished.

After a trial run of 67 years, the agency has proven a sorcerer’s apprentice. The director and his subordinates have became insufferably arrogant Platonic Guardians hiding behind secrecy in the belief that the rest of us are too stupid or naive to judge what risks to accept to preserve liberty and the rule of law. The CIA has made Americans less safe. [MORE]

The epithet Platonic Guardians redounds Popper's 'Open Society' as it harshly criticises Plato's Republic and its influence on government.

According to the author, the CIA did nothing during the cold war.

And that the CIA did nothing to aid in the fall of the USSR.

Really, the CIA should stop interfering with the political structure of governments, I agree with the author and he highlights the folly of these activities pretty well.

Why was the CIA formed? Because there was a need. Is this need gone?

He does not say to scrap it and start over....just to eliminate it and that's it.

The need was an executive action by a progressive president, among the most progressive of presidents, HST.
