One city councilman, identified as John Elder, who also works as public information officer of the Minneapolis Police Department, can be seen on surveillance footage drawing a concealed firearm and covering his fellow council members.

Fortunately, officers were able to neutralize the threat before the suspect reached the council.

Gotta love it - the second command out of his mouth is basically STOP the video? Wouldn't a sworn officer want as much evidence of a crime on tape as possible? All I can say is the cops are damn lucky the bad guy was a crappy shot! To only cause minor wounds with a long at close range is lucky for them indeed.
